    Bookmarked. Very cool, rabona. I think many people "chunk" so to speak when thinking about how much time an article will take to read. I think this helps users to focus that the article isn't really that long and also can challenge users to read the article in the set amount of time. Do you think you can add a comparison timer? Where there would be an "average time" it takes one to complete the article and "timer ticker" along side that is showing how much time the actual user has taken to read the article. This is just an idea to throw out. I'm not sure how its longevity be. But initially I think this is a tool that would draw interest for blog readers.

    Also: Currently, when the reader is not scrolling, the progress bar disappears. What can I edit in the source files (or add via CSS) so the progress bar DOES NOT disappear?

    Remove the fadeOut() functions from the JS file.

    .fadeOut()

    This doesn't seem to work. There are a few instances of fadeOut in the JS file. I removed all of them and the bar is still fading out when not scrolling. ?

    Find:

        scrollTimer = setTimeout(function () {
            $(".timeleft, .bar").fadeOut();
        }
    Remove:
    $(".timeleft, .bar").fadeOut();

    Hello Rabona, this is the third time trying to contact you. I sent two e-mail messages directly to you, not sure if they went through. I need this plugin, like DanceYrselfClean, to only work on certain pages. Could you help me, or tell which lines I need to edit myself?

    Hello, I purchased this item and it doesn't display on my site. I have all of the options checked. I changed my posts to use p=123 from using the post name, but that didn't help either. Do you have any advice? I am using the Jupiter theme. My site is www.helpfromageek.com Thank you

    That theme is coded awfully bad. It has no ID attached to the parent container of each article. You will need to do this yourself. Open your article theme file, and find the top level parent container element that is wrapped around the article - this will mostly likely be a DIV, and add to it: id="post-[id of the article]"

    Can this be positioned to the bottom?

    Yes. It uses CSS for the position. Just look at the file and change position:top to position:bottom

    Hi, I still love this plugin. But I switched my theme and now I mentioned a little problem. When scrolling down the page, it says still "2 minutes left". Is this because there are still words for 2 minutes reading time on the display? And another question... is it possible to move the time remaining into the progress bar? Just show an empty progressbar always and fill it while reading showing the reading time centered in it? Please look at the stream wordpress theme preview (Themeforest) and open a post of your choice for a demonstration that meets my needs. But just with a always showing progress bar

    The script works on the closing DIV element, you're probably not closing the element right after your article finishes, or have a huge padding-bottom gap. You may style the progress bar and time with CSS. It's quite simple.

    Probably going to take a while for them to accept, as it's a wordpress plugin. If you can't wait, find line 280, and replace [ with array( and the corresponding closing ] with a ) I initially coded the plugin with newer PHP versions in mind, though making this change will fix your problem.
