Pixel animation is a WordPress plugin which can animate any image on a post, page or a widget. It comes with a widget and a shortcode. It disintegrates the specified image into pixels and then animates them as per user’s mouse interaction. There are various options that can be specified as mentioned in the documentation here.
This plugin is great for drawing attention, demonstrating and entertaining
Non WordPress i.e. standalone version available here
6579bb56-6d56-48ac-a474-9f561e756e45 Hi, The shortcode to show an animated image is not loading for me. My image is just showing up as a white box. (inserted directly from the media of my wordpress site) Not sure if I'm missing something... Thanks for your help!
Are there more detailed installation instructions somewhere?
Please make sure that you are able to access the image using the link you used and it isn't too big so you can test with a small image first.
Hi, got this error when tried to run it, any ideas? Uncaught SecurityError: Failed to execute 'getImageData' on 'CanvasRenderingContext2D': The canvas has been tainted by cross-origin data. http://iggyphoto.com/wp-content/plugins/pixel-animation-wp/js/jquery.panim-common.js line 82
Hi, Please pm me your site's url.
your demo is down
Very cool looking. Here's my suggestion: Get this to work with full-quality full-color [unpixelated] images, and integrate with mainstream plugins like Revolution Slider ( http://bit.ly/1cZcQ6c ) and Visual Composer ( http://bit.ly/1lAYtwG ).
Thank you very much for your suggestion. I'll try that in future.
Its not working for me. I am getting error: Warning: getimagesize(http://tangiblesydney.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/lion.png): failed to open stream: HTTP request failed! HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden in /home/tangible/public_html/wp-content/plugins/pixel-animation-wp/include/panim-shortcode.php on line 18
HI, It looks like a permissions issue with the image i.e. the plugin is unable to access the uploaded image. Please try uploading a small image in the root folder and try using it.
Tried that, doesn't work. http://tangiblesydney.com.au/wine_tasting.jpg
Hi, It seems that your webserve or a plugin is blocking access to images by PHP. Can you please try disabling plugins one by one and see if it works. And if it doesn't work please pm me a temporary login so I can test.
Hi, With the liscense should come the installation guide.
Hi, License is inside 'Licensing' folder.
Could you add a template tag to replace the logo and animate?
Hi, This option will hopefully be added in a future version which will use a filter hook to replace the logo.
Hi there Can this plugin can also be used for the logo?
Yes, if your theme allows a widget code at the place of a logo.
Hello, I am still waiting for your comments regarding the problem that I have with the plugin not loading due to that there was no valid plugin found in the "package" Wait your news promptly.
Sorry for the late reply. Please check my reply to your previous comment.
Hi, this is the only plugin that I have had problems with, why is it not ready for WP? When I try to take only the zip file then this comment comes: Unpacking the package… The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature
As people have purchased and used it before you so it is ready for WP. The issue you are facing is due to the ZIP format. I can only help if you follow the instructions mentioned in my previous comment.
Well this is one of the most creative things I've found in a long time. Can you help me to integrate it into the logo section of a theme? :)
Can you please put up a demo of a sharp photographic image? Perhaps a PNG with a person? Medium or full screen setting? Let people see what this plugin can do. :)
Hi, Glad to know that you like it :) As mostly WordPress themes doesn't have a special widget for logo area so we'll have to do it directly through the code and by using the standalone (non WP) version of the same plugin: http://codecanyon.net/item/pixel-animation-html5/9561724 You can pm me for that. And also as the speed of animation depends on # of pixels in a image so for bigger images xspacing and ysapcing should be increased. I would recommend using it with smaller images like the ones you see on the demo.
Planing an update?
Is it possible to get to know what the last update is updating or changing ? Instead of guessing. Thanks.
Yes sir, there will be a change log when something worth mentioning will change/update.
It seems that path to jQuery is incorrect so please make sure that jQuery is accessible.
Is it posible to change the animation speed?
Yes, but directly through the php code.
Warning: getimagesize( http://mesechna-nagrada.com/pixelani/bbffgg1000_eng.png): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/mesech5/public_html/wp-content/plugins/pixel-animation/include/panim-shortcode.php on line 18 ... And the picture loads fine in browser but comes with this error as you see.
Hi, Just for testing, can you please put it on a test page and pm the url so I can check the issue. Also try using this url for the same image: http://mesechna-nagrada.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/bbffgg1000_eng.png Regards.
It worked once. After that i couldn't get it to show anymore.
And now it works again. It feels a little random if it works or not.
And now not again.
Also some ideas : 1//Instead that one pixel is moving that admin can choose how many pixels are being moved together. Would maybe put less strain on system. 2//Different move patterns for the pixels. 3//Ability to take picture directly from WP media system. A lot can be added and improved. I like the idea. But did expect more. And last : That it should not feel like random that it want to run or not.
Hi, 1) Actually it interacts with mouse movement so multiple pixels moves randomly. But if you're using a big image then animation would be slower. 2) Yes, hopefully in future version. 3) It already does that i.e. you can upload a picture using WP media button and use it with widget or shortcode. In case of shortcode, simply copy the URL as shown here: http://goo.gl/QW494p 4) It has been tested extensively and it always run but I checked your code and there is a space in your image url so it was throwing an error. Please use WP media as shown in the screenshot to grab the correct image url. Here's the test animation with your image: http://goo.gl/Ph3HqC and it works all the time.
1//I was meaning that multiple pixels could move together. That instead that every single pixel moved in random. That5 pixels, 10 pixels was moving together. Would make it less cpu intensive.
3//Meaning that it would open a menu like when normally choosing a picture in WP. That way it would be unnecessary to type the HTTP address, but just choosing a picture from the list.
In the end. I would have to wait and see what type of updates you would come with. There are enough possibilities. Everything is up to you as the creator.
And i do like the idea and it is different and interesting. So keep up the great work.
And if you check your own "Help - Pixel Animation". Then you add the HTTP with a space. So actually i did follow your own examples. So it would probably be best if you changed the text in the help/ example page. But after talking with you. then i know where the error was.
Thanks for your input :)
Hello, Does Pixel animation still working on wordpress or discontinued? can i add image with this animation as logo in wordpress?
Hi there, the plugin works perfectly. Good job. Some questions: 1.The transparent parts of png images turn into white. Is there a way to keep the transparent pixels ? It would be great if the animation can be done with a fixed colored background/graphic underneath. 2. Yellow turns quite strongly into white. I had an image with quite a lot of yellow and the yellow part was almost not visible. How can this be changed ?
ok.. regarding transparency i found already the canvas style in panim-shortcode.php.. Would be good to have not only the border-color, but also the background and border-radius as an option on the backend.
Alright, sure. Probably the yellow is too light or have a transparent background as otherwise it should be fine: http://codiator.com/pixel-animation/?page_id=66
Hi, Bought the Pixel Animation pluging and tried to install it but this is the message that I got: nstalling Plugin from uploaded file: codecanyon-9552051-pixel-animation-wp.zip Unpacking the package… Installing the plugin… The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found. Plugin install failed. Return to Plugins page Wait your news.
Hi, Please make sure there's not another zip inside the downloaded package from code canyon. If such is the case then you can try uploading the zip inside it. Otherwise, try uploading the unzipped folder inside 'wp-content/plugins' folder. Please pm me if the issue persists.
