Unobtrusive Sliding-Panel for your WordPress Theme

  • Unobtrusively adds more space to your WordPress theme
  • Supports WordPress widgets (four horizontal columns and one vertical)
  • Choose from the left (off-canvas) panel or the top position
  • Choose colours for the button & border, or the optional pre-defined style
  • Works beautifully on all modern devices

Try Before You Buy

Would you like to try how UberPanel integrates with your website? Simply copy (temporarily) the code below into your website’s footer.php. However, please note that jQuery is required and that the demo does not support SSL.

Instead of copying the code into your footer.php, you can also hit F12 (in Chrome), look for the “Console”-tab, click into the last row next to the ”>”, paste the code (without the “script”-tag) and hit ENTER.

UberPanel Left:

<script type="text/javascript">
var vcjs = document.createElement('script'); vcjs.type = 'text/javascript';           vcjs.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'http://' : 'http://') + 'clientengage.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=ceup_inject_left';           var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(vcjs, s);
</script>

UberPanel Top:

<script type="text/javascript">
var vcjs = document.createElement('script'); vcjs.type = 'text/javascript';           vcjs.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'http://' : 'http://') + 'clientengage.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=ceup_inject_top';           var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(vcjs, s);
</script>

A Note on Styles

Depending on the theme you use, it may be possible that some of the UberPanel styles are affected. In that case, you can use the CustomCSS within UberPanel to override these styles and to make it look exactly like you want. However, please note that support will not provided for styling and custom modifications.

    Hi...I've seen this feature in a couple of different themes...only it's not in the one I want to use (and I kept emailing them to no avail). I'd been hoping someone would implement this...you have and I thank you very very much! Once or twice a week I was looking at new plugins and hoping...hit the jackpot today. Awesome! Regards, Jack

    Hi there, Is it possible to set the panel to be permanently open, with the option for the user to minimise it instead? I'm looking to add a countdown-timer widget for an event that is coming up, and your panel would display it nicely. The only thing that needs to happen would be to have the panel open when people visit the site!

    How can we make it so the panel closes once you scroll the page. We have a fixed header and it makes our header remain in the center of the window once opened and you scroll. http://outreach-international.org/test-page/ Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi, I’ll use a search plugin with woo commerce , which I might be using with your sliding panel (if it can do what I need), the plugin has an auto update feature, but every time it reloads the page, and your sliding panel would close again I think… and I wouldn’t want to have the panel open before you do a search. Basically, you visit the site, panel is closed, open the panel to search, but keep the panel open after you start searching with the plugin inside the panel, and close the panel manually when you are done, so the panel will not close unless you close it your self. But I see a potential issue if you browse an other page, as you would want the panel to close, as in normal behaviour. Please let me know if you understand what I mean and let me know what’s possible with your plugin. Another question, does your plugin works with widgets and shortcodes? Thanks

    Hi riezzer, You can accomplish that by adding the following to your site's template:

    jQuery(function() {
        jQuery(document).click(function(event) {
            if (!jQuery(event.target).closest('.ce_uberpanel_container').length) {
                if (jQuery('.ce_uberpanel_container').hasClass("panel_open")) {
                    jQuery('.ce_uberpanel-toggle').trigger('click')
                }
            }
        });
    });

    After adding the code, the panel will close when users click outside of it.

    Awesome plugin! Question.. I have this working great in my navigation bar. So my navigation is 'About / pricing / more' upon clicking 'more', the uberpanel slides up and features a few more links. The problem is, I have a sticky navigation bar. So it stays at the top even when halfway down the page. How can I get the uberpanel to push above that even when halfway down the page? Right now it opens, but have to scroll all the way back to the top to see it.

    Hi mhal2, Thanks for the purchase! :-) However, that's a very specific theme-related issue which would probably require you to apply some custom CSS/JavaScript to solve. The problem with your sticky-menu is probably that it works with a scroll-delta of n pixels from the top of the screen. Ideally, the theme should automatically determine the position of the menu and calculate everything in relative terms. Long story short, there is not much that UberPanel can do in this respect - you'd have to write some code to solve it from how I understand your issue. Best wishes, CE

    Hi bartolorex, Thanks for your interest. The sliding-panel adds widget areas to your site. This way, you could, for example, add a Text/HTML widget and add an image-tag within the respective widget. Please note that there is no setting to always keep the panel open as it is a *sliding* panel that unobtrusively adds some additional space to your theme. Best wishes, ClientEngage

    Hello This would rock to add an option to have the panel deployed on page loading, this way users could see what's inside and then close it for later use if needed. Cheers, Seb

    Hi Seb, Thanks for the purchase! Well, you may be able to create this behaviour with a little jQuery magic. Upon page load, you could wait until UberPanel was loaded and then trigger the "click" event on ".ce_uberpanel-toggle". Then simply set a timeout of, say, 3 seconds and close it again by triggering "click" a second time. Or you could do it much faster to just briefly "reveal" the panel half-way and close it straight away. You may also want to set a cookie to make sure this doesn't happen on every page-load. ;-) Anyway, I can't provide you with sample code for this, but the above is just to give you an idea on how it could work. I will keep it in mind and may implement it in future - but I can't make any promises as to if and when that will happen. Best wishes, ClientEngage

    Hi, does it work on WP 3.9.1 and WPML? Can I change to other colour on the button, and fonts etc. Will it take the existing theme shortcode and layout set forth? Thank you.

    Yes, it will work on 3.9.1. That said, I have not tested it in WPML. If you would like to extensively change the colours, you need to write some custom CSS.
