Landing Page Details

Price Labeller is a WordPress plugin that gives you full control over your price text throughout your WooCommerce store.

It allows you to change your prices to more than just a number. Use it to boost sales, provide more information about a product’s availability, or set as a call to action when there’s no price available.

Some examples of common use cases:
  • Call for price
  • In store only
  • $50 for 1 day only
  • Cheapest in the world – $50
  • $20 or we’ll beat any price
  • $30 + free delivery

Labels can include HTML so you have complete control over format, styling and adding links like a contact form.

Price Labeller also has a bulk editing facilty for quickly changing multiple products.

Control where your custom price labels appear, for example:
  • An “In-store only” notice to only appear on the product’s individual landing page.
  • A “Buy it fast” slogan to appear on the home page and the main product listing pages to encourage users to click on it

Please feel free to ask me any questions about the plugin in the support tab.

Compatible with WooCommerce versions 1 and 2.

I am both a WordPress core and WooCommerce contributor. This plugin adheres to Wordpress coding standards and good practice.

Hello Presale Questions 1. Does it work with Product variation? 2. Can I change the label on each product? I mean suppose I have 2 product in a category where I want to change the label to call to get price and rest of the product will show the price. Thanks

Hi there, will this work for variations? Also I have a wholesale plugin which allows me to have a retail price and a different wholesale price, will this allow me to customise a variation with a wholesale price?

Hi Emmah, Thanks for your enquiry. Price Labeller does indeed work with product variations. I'm unsure as to whether it would interoperate with the wholesale plugin but I'd suspect not. It will likely display the label against the main price but not the wholesale value. It all depends on how the wholesale plugin is built. If you find it doesn't work with your wholesale plugin - I'd be happy to look at the feasibility of writing a bespoke extension. Please contact me on [email protected] if you'd like to talk further. Thanks again. Phill

Hi @phillbrown, I see your replies to StellaDavies about grouped products but I'm still not sure if your extension will work like I need it to. I have grouped products at different price points. Because of this, the price for the parent product is displayed as "From: $XXX" on the Shop page. Can the Price Labeller extension change the display price here? Example: http://bit.ly/1aDSYCG

See the example here: http://bit.ly/1aDSYCG The first 2 items are grouped products and say "From: $XXX". My customer would prefer it to just display the price of the most expensive product, and have the flexibility to change it to whatever she wants. Let me know if you need more details. Thanks

Hey Phill, thanks for adding this feature! There's a bit of strange behavior with the WC Subscriptions plugin that I thought I would share with everyone else here. When I initially activated the new version of Price Labeller, it didn't work. I deactivated and reactivated the Subscriptions plugin and now it works beautifully. Hope that helps someone out there. Wonder if it's something to do with the 'woocommerce_subscription_price_string' and 'woocommerce_subscriptions_product_price_string'? Thanks again Phill!

Hey, thanks for letting me know blogjunkie. It's difficult to say whats wrong without seeing the subscription plugin but it sounds like the two might be using the same woocommerce filter and priority weighting. When you reactivated the plugin it may have changed the load order of the hooks. Please could you let me know how exactly the plugin wasn't working? Were the labels not displaying or was it throwing an exception? Also could you let me know which price label position setting you're using (before, after etc) Many thanks Phill

Price label not working on single product page

  • StellaDavies

Hi, Just bought this hoping it would make things a bit easier for me but have run into a problem. Basically, I sell to mostly to business customers and need to display prices ex VAT as most of my customers do. I have managed this in the past by editing the single product price file but this means that each update to the theme means remembering to alter the file and, more importantly, the text shows on every item, even those that have zero VAT on them. So, your script seems ideal except that I cannot get it working with grouped products. With these the message shows next to the variations but not next to the main price where I need it. On the main product, to which the variations are grouped, the label boxes do not appear. Also, just while I am writing but not a major deal for me, I cannot get the bulk edit to show as described. Look forward to your response. :-)

Hi Stella, Price Labeller currently does not support price labels on grouped products in the way you describe but I can certainly look at implementing this feature in a new release if useful? Please can you send me your WooCommerce and WordPress version numbers so I can test this issue you're having with bulk upload? Many thanks :-) Phill

Thanks for the reply. It would definitely be useful. At the moment I can edit price.php in Woocommerce-single-product to display "ex VAT" after the price but this, of course, shows on every product. Childrens clothes and all Hi Vis (safety items) have no VAT and ith your script I can highlight that on a per product basis which helps sales. The theme I am using shows the price in an H1 tag and both the edited php method and your labeller also use this by default. The ideal solution for me would be to have the labeller text available n the grouped product rather than on each linked product. I am using the latest versions of software - WordPress 3.6 and woo Commerce 2.0.13

Hi Phill, Thanks for the message. I'm guessing that this is a further update to the bulk edit patch and, as such, is in a CodeCanyon queue at the time of this reply. I will check back in a day or two. I am happy to rate it though as it performs a useful function which saves having to edit theme files on each theme update which, with my current theme, is a regular event. Well done for probably being the only person in Newcastle sober enough to post at a weekend and being "in Toon" with your customers. :-) :-) Bet that's confused the worldwide audience. LOL

    	return $visible;

Hey Phill, I am not getting this to work at all. It won't replace the price or add text before or after. Maybe a theme conflict. I am using Twenty Twelve. Ideally I would like it to work with variable products to output a "call for price" if price = 0 or is blank. and I would like to be able to eliminate the prices from as low as "Free" labeling. Any help / suggestions appreciated...

Hey, Many thanks for purchasing and for raising this issue. I've spotted the bug and just uploaded a copy that should have fixed it. CodeCanyon usually takes a few hours to process the upload but it should be ready by this time tomorrow. Variable product price labels can't quite do everything you've described. You can apply a label to the main product's price ie so you can replace From Free!. What it doesn't do is support individual labels on different variations. It's a feature I can certainly look at but it's unlikely I'll be able to release anything until next week. I hope that at least does some of what you need. Thank you again for raising the bug and your use case and do please let me know if the plugin still isn't behaving as expected. Best regards Phill

Are you still supporting this plugin? I have purchased it (giving you my money) and it does not work. I have installed on Woocommerce 2.5.5/WP 4.5.2. When I go to the product edit screen and enter text into "PRICE LABEL", select " REPLACE PRICE" and select check boxes "SHOP LISTING" and "SINGLE PRODUCT". Then I update product page. When I go to live page, nothing has changed. I still see price and quantity wheel along with ADD TO CART button. Please help. I really appreciate any assistance you can provide.

Hi, This was previously asked above but I need more clarification. Let say I make the button some sort of "inquire button" and direct the user to a contact form, how will I know which item the user is inquiring? Will that be included in the email or I have to code it myself to be able to have a reference to the item being inquired?

Hey, The plugin itself isn't actually a contact form but it allows you to link to one if you have one setup on the site. For the form itself, I'd recommend Gravity Forms which allows you to pass in parameters via the URL. In theory, your price label link could then include the ID of the current product. Hope that makes sense. Please let me know if I can help further. Phill
