    Hello. I have two problems with the plugin. 1 Can only be used once only widget. If I insert in my sidebars, I can no longer use it in any other sidebar. I can not insert a widget for each service. For example, a widget Indeed, a widget for Careerjet ... 2 - I have problems with the integration of Careerjet, I enter all parameters Careerjet like my ID, location, etc ... but the page does not load stop and stay, stays cut and my contents do not appear. I await your response. Thank you.

    Hello raulpuhu, 1. It doesn't possible to insert all services to the widget at a time. The widget starting a request in the background to get job feeds from the service provider (external URL), including more than one widget may drastically slow down your website, therefore it is limited to one widget.

    2. Please send me the URL you mentioned with the login details via my profile page mail sender and I'll check it on your website. Probably it is contains some invalid values in the parameters. Best regards,

    Hello, Please keep in mind, some of the service providers doesn't allow to save their jobs to the database. You can read about this on their website. (Terms of Service) To update 30 cities, you have to set up 30 different CRON jobs, like this:

    http://yourwebsiteurl.com?jobhunter_autopost=1&location=Miami&country_code=US

    http://yourwebsiteurl.com?jobhunter_autopost=1&location=Chicago&country_code=US

    As you see in the example links above, you can set the location as a parameter.

    Hello, It seems to be your support period has been expired. Sorry, but regarding to the Envato rules, you need to purchase a support extension on the item's page to still get support for the plugin. However, the subcategories doesn't supported at the moment, you can create and organize the jobs into categories by using the Categories page under the WP Job Hunter admin navigation menu. Unfortunately, it needs keywords and the jobs usually doesn't contains the country in the content. Therefore you can achieve what you want with some code customization only. Alternatively, it is also possible to include country based shortcode to the pages, that will display direct linked job list for the selected country. Best regards,

    Hi Pantherius, I’m considering purchasing this plugin, but I have some questions; 1. Can the plugin autopost jobs from CareerJet? There is no demo. 2. You say in the futures "save all jobs to one specified category". I do't want to autopost all jobs to one, but to many different -made -by -myself categories. Example: I want to autopost all cleaning jobs from NewYork to my (already) existing category NewYour. Then all cleaning jobs from Washington to my (already) existing category Washington. etc etc. I do't want the plugin to create new categories. Can the plugin do that? 3. Can I choice how many words will be auto-posted? Please see this example from Indeed. http://sympies.com/project_manager_-_pmo/ This posts only 2 sentences? Thanks in advance for your replay. Piska

    Hello Piska, 1. Yes, it can auto-post jobs from CareerJet. It isn't demo page for that, because the demo should be the same display like the Indeed demo page. 2. It was just an update. In the basic settings, you can create categories for jobs and save it to different categories by keywords. (it's using the WordPress standard categories) So you specify a keyword(s) and if it is exists in the job's title or in the job's description, it will be categorized to that. The plugin doesn't create the category again, if it's already exists, but you have to create it in the plugin settings. 3. The job's descriptions coming from Indeed or CareerJet. That's the full description that can get the plugin from these Service Providers. Unfortunately, it is out of my possibilities, it can't be changed or extended. Thanks for your interest, if you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask! Best wishes, Pantherius

    Hi, Thanks for your replay. 2. My situation. I post all cleaning jobs in the WP categories which are US states (example). Example; I have a category California. I want to post a job from New York (keyword) in the category California. So the keyword (New York) will be in the job’s title or in the job’s description. So it wil not be posted in the category California? and the plugin will create a new category with a name...? What name? Do you have screenshots of this option of the plugin (keyword)? I use this plugin at the moment: http://imgur.com/0YEB3C0 but I would like to buy your plugin. Does your plugin a Category option, like on the sceenshot? PS:I know, New York is in the different state, but just imagine, it is in California for example.

    You're welcome. Exactly, it will be posted to Uncategorized or you can choose the option on admin to doesn't save jobs when doesn't match to any category. The plugin need somehow to links the jobs to the categories. There is 3 different ways to do this:

    - do it manually
    - the plugin do it automatically to one specified category
    - the plugin do it automatically with keywords, like I described before

    I guess there is no other ways to do this function. You can specify keywords as many as you want, so you can reduce the risk of the job won't be categorized. Of course, if you save too much keywords (like hundreds) that can slow down the performance.

    I just got your plugin. 1. The Indeed Policy doesn't allow to make cache about the jobs, therefore you use it for your own risk. What does it mean? Is autoposting officially not allowed? 2. Does careerjet allow autopositing? 3. How to put Careerjet affiliate ID in the pugin: affid=ba929e7bfa3a8d9af75e6d17fXXXX or ba929e7bfa3a8d9af75e6d17fXXXX (wthout affid=)?

    Thank you for your purchase. 1. The jobs can be expired, therefore if the jobs' link no longer exists can be bad for Indeed and for the Publisher as well. This notification mean if you using the auto-post feature of the plugin, it's strongly recommended to set up the auto-delete as well. If you set it to 1 or 2 days, it will be deleted almost every day, but if the job still exists in the Indeed database, it will be saved again on the same day. With this method, your job database can still up-to-date. I hope you understand the point. 2. I didn't find anything about this in the CareerJet Terms of Service, but I don't check it too often. 3. without affid= Best regards, Pantherius

Just imagine, you see a job from South Africa, but CareerJet doesn't have a website with .co.za

The jobdiscription is in Dutch, but the website of CareerJet is in English. Apply for this job -button is also in English instead Dutch. My users will be confused. I use also aff RSS from http://www.career-jet.nl. It works fine. Is there a way to put http://www.career-jet.nl. in the code of plugin?

    1. If you run 2 cronjobs following each other daily (you can set about 10 minutes delay), the first one will delete the expired jobs at the end (eg.: older than 2 days), then the second one will feed it again if not expired on CareerJet. With this method, the links should be broken for only 10 minutes.
    You can play with this time, just be careful you have to wait for end of the first cron job running before you start the second one. I think one running can be finished in 1 or 2 minutes. Depends on how many jobs you setting up to feed. (your setup on admin) 4. Yes, if you using only dutch jobs, you can do it manually:
    Search for the following in wpjobhunter.php on line 1010:
    $jobs->url = $job->url;
    replace it with the folowing:
    $jobs->url = str_replace('.co.uk','.nl',$job->url);
    I didn't test it, but it have to work.
    But I don't know how it is affect on your Affiliate... Probably, if you registrated on the dutch website, it's ok.

Otherwise my users will not find jobs and so my website is useless for them.

    For display the Location, I just set to on the Show location with Google Maps below the job option on the Job Hunter Admin.
    I also changed the Localization to nl_NL in the Careerjet_API.php on line 146.
    Probably you have to delete the currently feeded jobs and feed them again with cron to see the effect of this. (.nl redirect)

    The Job Hunter has a separated table to store job ids. If you deleted manually, that's permanent, but when the cron delete, it will be deleted from this table as well. When the new jobs coming, those will compared by id, if it isn't exists the function will add the job to the database. You can also delete it from the Job Hunter table now, therefore it will be posted again on the next update.

    So If I delete = job will not be posted again. Never! if the cron deletes =job will be posted again (if still exist on career-jet) Do I understand it in correct way? One more thing. I want to keep career-jet posts on my website. Is there an option to auto delete Indeed only?

    It isn't lot of work, you can modify the last function in the wjobhunter.php

    2. it's not a feature at the moment, but a good idea

    I think that won't work, because the function names will causing conflicts if you just rename the plugin.

    Meanwhile I checked your blog URL and found a DIV with white background in front of the content. That's hide the whole page. You can find it with class: .overlay-hide in the style.css on line 190:

    .overlay-hide {
    background: #fff;
    width: 100%;
    height: 100%;
    z-index: 20000;
    position: fixed;
    }

    Please try to empty the cache. When click with the right mouse button on the white screen in Chrome and choose the Inspect element, then removed the checkbox from z-index property in the small window on the right side, the page works very well. Also displays the WP Job Hunter widget at the bottom-right. Are you sure this issue is related with the WP Job Hunter plugin? Regards,

    Hi there, I am looking into job board plugins and came across the demo of yours. There is a problem when I search jobs in a country using your search engine. for example lets say I put writer on one field and italy on the other, it spits it out as writer, italy, United States to correctly bring jobs up I had to type writer on one field and italy,italy on the other. I tried it also with india...it spits it out as india, united kingdom... I had to type india,india to bring up the right results. It can be fixed right? :(

    Hello Kazooli, You must specify the city and the country in every cases, because it is impossible to recognize the input was city or country.

    If you specify only one word in the location, the plugin use it as a city in the specified country that has been set for the search by default. In most cases, the plugin used for local job search, so it seems to be the best option.

    You can switch to another country with specifying the other country name comma separated, NEXT to the city. (as you can see in the input field) It is possible to search for the entire country (as an extra), but in this case you need to define the city name as the country name.

    I understand, you expected to recognize your search for jobs in India, but how it will work, when you type a city name only? That will give back empty results...
    If you have any better idea, please let me know.

    Best regards,
    Pantherius

    Hello, You don't have to read about the API's integration on Indeed, because it is already implemented in the plugin, so the hard work has been done. You can find all you need is in the documentation here: WP Job Hunter Documentation There are three possibilities to display the jobs on your website:

    • using the widget
    • adding the shortcode to any page or post
    • save the jobs as a normal post (it is doesn't allowed by some job service providers)

    Yes, on a normal / default WordPress page. That means, the plugin won't use any of the theme's features since it has been developed by someone else. Therefore there is no connection between the plugin and the theme's job features.

    Thanks for the quick reply. So I'm considering a site that's strictly jobs, and 100% automated. This plugin will go out and "fetch" jobs based on settings that I specify? Maybe that's how I should have worded it... Then it will auto post (create the post) and the post will expire after a specified time? Can I set an option to have old job postings redirect to a different page so they don't 404?

    You're welcome. Yes, exactly as you can see on the demo site. You can specify the country and keyword and the plugin get a job feed and save it to the database. It is possible by manually call a special URL or using CRON to make it automatically. After the specified time (days) the post will be deleted. "Can I set an option to have old job postings redirect to a different page so they don’t 404?"
    It is not a feature at the moment, you should be handle it with any other plugin, but I don't think it will be an easy trick, because the jobs permanently deleted by the plugin. Regards,

    The plugin compatible with all WordPress themes, that means it will work individually from the theme features. I mean, you can display the jobs with any theme on a page / post, but if the theme offer job categories or job functions, that won't be integrated with the plugin's jobs. Eg.: The theme has job categories, you won't be able to organize the jobs that coming from the WP Job Hunter to the theme's job categories, because both products made by different authors, therefore it can't be merged without customizing the code. If you have any type of website with any premium theme, then you can create your own WP Job Hunter pages / posts with the jobs. Displaying the jobs in a widget is also possible. Certainly, if you using the Auto Post feature with CRON, then you can display the job's short description on your own page, like on the demo page. However, the whole job description is not provided by the service provider's API, some service provider give us longer details. (eg.: CareerJet) Best regards,

    #content p {
        display: inline-block;

    It will solve the pagination issue, because it seems to be the theme style overwrite some plugin's style. The location box can contain one location, the city and the country separated by comma. If you would like to remove the location box, please also add the following lines to the same file:
    .wpjh-indeed-search-form form input[name="job_location"] {

    By the default, the plugin using the same style of inputs as the theme specify it. Seems to be the theme doesn't specify any style for the input fields, therefore you may define it in the same file, wpjobhunter/assets/css/wpjobhunter.css with the following lines:

    .wpjh-indeed-search-form form input[name="job_keyword"] {
        width: 100%;
        font-size: 14px;
        height: 30px;
        text-indent: 5px;
    }

    .wpjh-indeed-search-form form input[type="submit"] {
        width: 200px;
        height: 30px;
        float: left;
        background: #2980b9;
        border-radius: 4px;

    Hello, Thank you!
    If you using the plugin with auto-update feature, then you can simply enable the "Show location" option in the General Settings. In case, you using it with shortcode, then you can edit the template files in the wpjobhunter/templates folder. Just open the jobs_template_indeed.php (if you using Indeed), then use the $atts['location'] variable. (it is already included) By the way, the job location already added under the job title: Indeed Jobs Best regards,
